Pregnancy involves a partnership between the mother and her healthcare providers. At DeKalb Clinic, we individualize care to optimize the baby’s health and assist in providing a safe delivery. On your first visit, your doctor will answer any questions you have, calculate your due date, and give you a physical exam involving a pap smear and tests for infection.
Ultrasounds are a form of diagnostic imaging that uses sound waves to visualize internal structures. DeKalb Clinic has state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, as well as two certified ultrasound technicians.

Dr. Paula Hobson
Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Hobson graduated from Rush Medical College in 2003 and completed a four-year Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Phoenix Integrated Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2007. She was named Best Chief Resident Teacher by her program in Arizona, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists named her Outstanding Resident in Laparoscopy. Dr. Hobson specializes in high-risk and complicated pregnancies. She lives in DeKalb with her husband and is a proud mother and grandmother.

Dr. David Sui
Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board Certified
Dr. Sui graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed four years of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. His personal affiliation is a fellowship of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sui specializes in Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgery, including Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and Vaginal Surgery. His focus is in high risk Obstetrics, and he believes every OB patient deserves the best possible prenatal care.
