Dr. Burstein is a Board Certified Urologist specializing in bladder control problems (incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and painful voiding syndromes).
He completed his under-graduate work at Drake University graduating Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated University of Illinois College of Medicine. His publications include articles on embryology and anatomy published in urology textbooks. He has been involved with bladder neck suspension modifications since their introduction in the Midwest in 1984.
Dr. Burstein has been a resident of Sycamore since joining DeKalb Clinic in 1993. His wife Georgette, is a registered nurse and they have two sons Joshua, and Michael, one daughter, Jennifer and one granddaughter, Natalie.
