Dr. Maillefer graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and completed his medical degree through the University of Illinois, Champaign/Rockford. His General Surgery residency was completed in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1998. He completed his written and oral Board Certification through the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgery. His practice specializes in Bariatric Surgery and advanced laparoscopy including heartburn and bowel surgery. He also performs thoracic and thyroid surgery, gastrointestinal, trauma and breast surgery. Upper and lower endoscopies are also provided. Dr. Maillefer joined the DeKalb Clinic in 1998. He is married with five children and enjoys all outdoor activities and sports, and ran the Boston Marathon in 1998. He is also very active in his church. Schedule an Appointment |
