DeKalb Clinic provides a specially trained team to meet your wound and ostomy care needs. Our team includes a board certified ostomy/wound care registered nurse that works with our board certified surgeons to develop an individualized plan of care for each of our patients.
An ostomy is a surgically created opening in the abdominal wall that allows for the elimination of stool and urine. Teresa Farris will assist you with the preparation for ostomy surgery and with the rehabilitation after surgery to help you return to a productive lifestyle.
The DeKalb Clinic wound care nurse and surgeons provide the specialized care you need for treating a variety of wounds including bedsores, chronic or non-healing wounds, wounds of the legs and feet, venous disease causing swollen legs and non-healing wounds, skin tears, and surgical wounds that fail to heal. Together our wound care team will assess your wound care needs and identify appropriate treatment options.
