Ultrasounds are a form of diagnostic imaging performed using sound waves to visualize internal structures. DeKalb Clinic’s ultrasound equipment includes 2 Acuson units (both units have vascular and OB packages) at the Main facility and 1 ATL 1000 located in the OB/GYN department at DeKalb Clinic North. DeKalb Clinic has two certified ultrasound technicians who are also certified to perform vascular procedures. In some instances your ordering physician may perform the ultrasound in combination with other services, such as a needle aspiration biopsy. Ultrasounds are performed at both the Main Clinic in DeKalb and Dekalb DeKalb Clinic North in Sycamore.
