Tara Atta, M.D.
Consultative and noninvasive cardiology

Dr. Atta received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine as well as her residency. She received her fellowship from the University of Maryland Medical System. Dr. Atta is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. She joined RCA and DeKalb Clinic in 2007.

Paul M. Christensen, M.D., FACC
Consultative, invasive and noninvasive cardiology

Dr. Christensen received his medical education from the University of Iowa, Iowa City IA. He got his residency and fellowship in internal medicine from Blodgett Memorial Hospital, Grand Rapids MI and in cardiology from University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City IA. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Christensen is assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology as a fellow and started with Rockford Cardiology in October 1985.

G. Steinar Gudmundsson, M.D.
Consultative, invasive and noninvasive cardiology

Dr. Gudmundsson received his medical education from University of Iceland and his residency and fellowship in internal medicine from the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City IA and in cardiology from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood IL. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He started with Rockford Cardiology in August 2003 and is the director of Rockford Cardiology office in Rochelle.

Robert H. Harner, M.D., M.S., FACC, FACP, FSCAI
Consultative and interventional cardiology

Dr. Harner received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his residency and fellowship in internal medicine from Hines VA Hospital, Hines IL and Cook County Hospital, Chicago IL. He is board certified in three areas: internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. Dr. Harner is an assistant professor at University of Illinois College of Medicine. He started with Rockford Cardiology in July 1973 as a founding physician of Rockford Cardiology and is a fellow in three professional memberships: American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention.

Dr. Hellman received his medial degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago IL. His residency and fellowship were completed in Family Practice at West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park, IL, in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo OH and Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit MI. Dr. Hellman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He started with Rockford Cardiology in October 2007.

Mark W. Hiser, M.D., FACC
Consultative, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology

Dr. Hiser received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and got his residency and fellowship in internal medicine from the University of Chicago and in cardiology from the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City IA. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. Since he has started with Rockford Cardiology in August 1981, Dr. Hiser has become an assistant professor at University of Illinois College of Medicine and is part of American College of Cardiology as a Fellow.

Dr. Minor received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham NC and his residency and fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology from the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City IA. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology and is a fellow with American College of Cardiology. Dr. Minor is Director of Cardiac Cath Lab, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center and started with Rockford Cardiology in January 1993.

Dr. Rivera received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico at San Juan, Puerto Rico. He completed his residency and fellowship in Internal medicine at the Veterans Administration Hospital, San Juan Puerto Rico and Cardiology with the Administration Hospital in San Juan Puerto Rico as well as Electrophysiology from Jackson Memorial Hospital-University of Miami, Miami FL. Dr. Rivera is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He started with Rockford Cardiology in August 2007.

Jagdeep Sabharwal, M.D., FACC
Consultative, interventional and noninvasive cardiology

Dr. Sabharwal graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received his residency and fellowship in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and in cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit MI. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology and is a fellow with American College of Cardiology. Dr. Sabharwal started with Rockford Cardiology in September 2002.

Eugene A. Silva, M.D., FACC
Consultative, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology

Dr. Silva received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford IL. He got his residency and fellowship in internal medicine from Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Milwaukee WI and in cardiology from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood IL. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology and is a fellow with American College of Cardiology as well an assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Silva started with Rockford Cardiology in July 1989.

Jan Skowronski, M.D.
Consultative, noninvasive, and interventional cardiology

Dr. Skowronski received his medical degree from Medical University of Wroclaw, Poland and his MBA from University of Illinois. He received his residency and fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology from the University of Minnesota and in interventional cardiology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Skowronski is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology and is a member of American College of Cardiology. He received an award for Director-Cardiac Catherization Laboratory, OSF-ST. at Anthony Medical Center. Dr. Skowronski started with Rockford Cardiology in October 2004.

E. Andrew Telfer, M.D. FACC
Consultative, interventional and noninvasive cardiology and electophysiology

Dr. Telfer received his medical education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI and received his residency and fellowship in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor MI, in cardiology from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, Chicago IL and in electophysiology from Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago IL. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology and is a fellow with American College of Cardiology. Dr. Telfer joined Rockford Cardiology in July 2004.
